                   6. First Words

After you have pinpointed the desired sweet spot, then you can start
making some basic sounds. Focus on single vowels first. Over-
articulate every sound with your mouth until you feel comfortable
with all the vowels. After that, you can start practicing short words.
Slowly work your way up to sentences and conversation.

                   7. Expectations

Learning to speak with an electro larynx device is not easy. Think of
it as learning to play a musical instrument. It will take time, practice,
and patience. In some cases, talking can be achieved in a month,
in other cases it can take only a few days.

7 . How to change the Volume

The volume can be adjusted as requested. Simply stop speaking and
push the (+) or (-) button click by click to adjust the volume. When
you have reached the maximum or minimum volume, the LED will
turn red advising you that this is the maximum or minimum you
                    can change the volume.

                   8. How to change the pitch

You can adjust the pitch of the activator button easily.
To do so, follow this procedure:

Press both the (-) volume button and red activation button at the
same time once and let go. The device will start emitting sound on its
own. The device is now in “Pitch setup mode.” As the unit is buzzing
you can adjust the pitch by pushing the (+) or (-) buttons to
increase/decrease the pitch. Once you find the pitch you like, push
the round activator button. This will become your standard pitch each
                   time you begin to speak.
